Susanna Blunt - A Royal Portrait

Numis Network's Silver Coin of the Month for November, 2011 is the highly sought-after 2012 Silver Canadian Cougar.

Like other coins found throughout the Commonwealth of Nations, the obverse of the 2012 Silver Canadian Cougar features the profile image of Queen Elizabeth II. Unlike other coins of the Commonwealth, however, Canadian coins do not exhibit the familiar portrait created by famed British sculptor Ian Rank-Broadley. Instead, they display the crownless image of the Queen that was created by the renowned Canadian portrait artist Susanna Blunt.

Home of the Maple Leaf

Numis Network's Silver Coin of the Month for November is the 2012 Silver Cougar from the Royal Canadian Mint.

The Royal Canadian Mint in Ottawa was originally opened in 1908 as a branch of London's Royal Mint. Currently, the Ottawa facility is responsible for producing the nation's collector coins, medals, and medallions, including the famous Canadian Maple Leaf. Coins intended for circulation are produced at the mint facility in Winnipeg which also strikes coins for more than a dozen other countries including Cuba, Norway, Yemen, and New Zealand.

The Purrfect Coin

As we enter the month of November and weather becomes progressively cooler across the Northern Hemisphere, there is one thing that I've been looking forward to (besides the upcoming holidays), Numis Network's next Silver Coin of the Month, the 2012 Silver Canadian Cougar.
